‚ÄčFinding a WU Postdoctoral Position

All postdoctoral positions at WU are appointed individually by WU faculty members and not through the Office of Postdoctoral Affairs (OPA). There are several ways to search for a position at WU:

  • Search the DBBS Jobs page at http://dbbs.wustl.edu/resources/Pages/View-Jobs.aspx to view both postdoctoral and career positions at WU and elsewhere.
  • Submit your Information for the Research Prospects Database.
The Human Resources department maintains a password-protected database of Research Prospects, potential postdoctoral appointees and research staff, to assist with recruitment.  This database is available to WU faculty to search when filling research positions.  Faculty will contact potential candidates directly.
  • Search the DBBS Faculty database
The DBBS Faculty Research Interests Database lists over 300 faculty members affiliated with the Division of Biology & Biomedical Sciences, which oversees the Biomedical PhD program. You may search by keyword to find faculty interested in a specific research area, and then contact that faculty member directly. (There are over 1,000 faculty at the School of Medicine; this database only lists those affiliated with DBBS.)
  • Search by Department
Some departments have their own position listings pages. You may search by department to see if there are positions available or to find faculty that are interested in a specific area of research.
