Research

In recent years, splicing gene mutations have been identified in multiple cancers including hematologic malignancies. Among mutated genes, U2AF1 is one of the most commonly mutated gene. We are working on characterizing the U2AF1 mutation in several different model systems. To examine the consequences of the mutation at an mRNA and protein leve, we use next-gen sequencing and genome-editing technologies.
