Research

Pptc7 is a mitochondrial phosphatase, the absence of which leads to post-natal death in mice. The exact function of this phosphatase is still unclear. IDH2 phosphorylation is seen to be upregulated in Pptc7 KO tissue and I am currently trying to understand how this modification contributes to the phenotype, the molecular mechanisms behind this modification and its potential role in mitochondrial dysregulation.
