Research summary
I study how changes in neuronal gene regulation modulate neuroimmune interactions.
My research focuses on understanding how changes in neuronal gene regulation influence communication between the nervous and immune systems. In particular, I am interested in how epigenetic alterations in neurons during development, aging, and disease modify the signals they provide to surrounding cells and tissues, thereby shaping immune responses at the CNS and brain borders. Using a combination of molecular, cellular, in vivo, and omics-based approaches, I am investigating the mechanisms through which changes in neuronal state can influence immune cell behavior and tissue function.
