Research summary
Molecular mechanisms determining head and neck cancer progression and treatment response
Co-mentored by the Wang and Puram labs, my work focusing on identifying molecular and epigenetic mechanisms underlying head and neck cancer progression and treatment response. I am interested in the role of transposable elements in HNSCC, differential mechanisms across HNSCC subtypes, and factors governing response to treatment (eg. chemotherapy, radiation, immunotherapy) focusing on mechanisms by which tumor sub-populations evade treatment.
