Research summary
The Lee Laboratory develops computational approaches to advance precision medicine through retinal imaging, artificial intelligence, and multimodal biomedical data. Our research integrates ophthalmic imaging, clinical phenotypes, wearable sensors, electronic health records, and multi-omics to discover noninvasive biomarkers of systemic diseases, including diabetes, Alzheimer's disease, and cardiovascular disease. Through large-scale collaborative studies such as Eye ACT, AI-READI, and the Framingham Heart Study Eye Project, we build open, AI-ready resources that accelerate scientific discovery and improve patient care.
