Student career, training & professional development funds

The Division provides DBBS students with a $1000 allowance to be used toward career, training, and professional development expenses upon completion of appropriate milestones.
Career development takes many forms. A comprehensive list of university opportunities can be found here. Many student groups have a career focus, and DBBS hosts workshops and panels specific to the biosciences.
In addition to the above opportunities, students may engage in a Mentored Professional Experience — a curated mini-internship — in their later years. This experience may be in science, administration, academia, industry, policy, entrepreneurship, DEI, and others yet to be imagined by students.
